Website Design Timeline
Steps One through Three are considered part of a free consultation. You are under no obligation to hire me until we reach an understanding about your website and we sign the contract.
- Submit an inquiry form with as much information as you can provide.
- I will contact you to let you know I received your email and will be reviewing your project. I will also ask you any questions I may have at this point.
- After reviewing your needs and clarifying project details, I will send you a project estimate.
- If you decide to hire me, I will send you a contract for you to sign and send back to me. A 50% deposit of the estimate is also due at this time.
- Next I will work on a mockup of the design(s) for you to look at. I may have a very clear idea of what I want to do or I may send you a few options to look at. Either you will approve the design and go to the next step or you will contact me with changes and receive a new mockup.
- I will begin writing the code for the site. Remember you must send me all content within two weeks of signing the contract.
- During this process I will let you know if I think the project will exceed the estimate and the reason for it. I am good at estimating my time but any changes you need to make after the project details have been decided will usually mean additional work on my part.
- Website will be completed and uploaded to a private directory for you to look at.
- Once the website is approved it will be uploaded to your webspace.
- The balance is due.
